NSBI Congratulates Meridian Fund Services for Global Award

Nova Scotia Business Inc. congratulated a financial services company with a Halifax office today, July 17, for being recognized globally.

Meridian Fund Services was named Best North American Hedge Fund Administrator recently at the Hedgeweek USA Awards 2012 in New York. The awards honour the industry's best hedge fund managers and service providers in which the winners are decided by the votes of Hedgeweek's nearly 20,000 subscribers.

Meridian Fund Services provides fund administration services to the investment community. The full service fund administrator established operations in Nova Scotia in 2007. It also has offices in New York, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Massachusetts.

KPMG recently identified Halifax as the fastest-growing hedge fund administration centre in Canada. Meridian Fund Services, in addition to other international award-winning companies, Citco, Butterfield Fulcrum and Admiral Administration, have expanded their global footprints to Halifax in the last six years.
