Surplus Auction Scheduled for Aug. 11

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

The usual enticing assortment of used items will be available at the government surplus auction on Friday, Aug. 11 but they will be at a different spot.

The province's warehouse is undergoing renovations so the auction will take place at 10 a.m. at the Auction Advantage Warehouse at 11 Mount Hope Ave. in Dartmouth.

The auction features ride-on and regular lawn mowers, audio visual and electronic equipment (including a smart board interactive TV, and GPS units), a barrister's bookcase, refrigerators, wheel balancing equipment, power tools, an hydraulic press, commercial kitchen appliances, plus assorted lockers, chairs, shelving units, cabinets and much more.

Photos of many of the items can be seen online at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/hottopics/auction.asp .

The auction will be conducted by Auction Advantage. Payment can be made by cash, debit, credit card, or auctioneer-approved cheque. The items can be viewed on auction day between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

All profits will be used to reduce the provincial deficit, improving Nova Scotia's bottom line.
