Government Surplus Auction Announced

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

The province is helping make sure the proceeds of illegal activity are used to support victims and prevent crime.

The province's next surplus auction, on Saturday, Oct. 13, will include items seized by the Crown as proceeds of crime.

Among the items expected to be auctioned are several street and trail bikes, a front-end-alignment machine, a MIG welder, two 12-ton hydraulic presses, bolt cutters, hacksaws and pry bars, four ATVs, several ride-on lawn tractors, two snowmobiles and much more.

A complete list, with photos, will be posted at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/hottopics/auction.asp before the auction.

The auction will be held at 10 a.m. at the Auction Advantage Warehouse at 11 Mount Hope Ave., Dartmouth. Items can be viewed Saturday between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Payment can be made by cash, debit, credit card or auctioneer-approved cheque.

The province uses the revenue from the sale to help pay for services for victims of crime, crime prevention initiatives and proceeds-of-crime program expenses.
