Province Updates Progress on Auditor General Recommendations

The province today, Nov. 20, released the biannual progress report on recommendations made by the office of the auditor general.

"As a government, we believe in greater transparency and accountability and that applies to the work being done by departments to complete the auditor general's recommendations," said Deputy Premier Frank Corbett.

The report provides a status update on all recommendations made from April 2009 to Oct. 31, 2012.

During that period, the auditor general has made 512 recommendations. As of Oct. 31, 503 of them were completed or in progress.
