"We had an overwhelming response to the contest, with submissions from all over the province," said Nova Scotia Ombudsman Dwight Bishop. "It's easy to see how much effort went in to the artwork, and the level of understanding of this year's theme was apparent. I commend everyone on their incredible work.

"I would like to thank all teachers and schools across the province for participating in our contest and fostering learning about children's rights"

In addition, two posters were selected to be featured on holiday greeting cards for the Office of the Ombudsman. The posters chosen were submitted by Kaylee Deveau, École NDA, Inverness Co., and Mary Fredericks, Halifax Central Junior High School, HRM.
