NSLC Announces First Quarter Results

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation released its first quarter results today, Aug. 27.

Key business highlights for the period from April 1 to June 29, included net income (earnings) of $55 million, a decrease of $2.1 million or 3.7 per cent over the same period last year. Total sales were $144.4 million, a decrease of $2.8 million.

Nova Scotia product sales continued to increase with ciders up 71.9 per cent, following last year's 206.8 per cent increase, craft beers increased 29.9 per cent and wines grew by 1.6 per cent.
