Free Wifi in Access Centres

Service Nova Scotia (April 2014 - May 2019)

Government is offering free Wifi in Access Nova Scotia Centres across the province. The new service will be available at all 13 locations.

"The addition of free Wifi in Access Centres is part of our strategy to provide digital services that Nova Scotians expect in today's digital world," said Service Nova Scotia Minister Mark Furey. "Our goal is to make the Government of Nova Scotia a digital service leader by transforming the way online services are delivered. This investment in Access Centres will help us achieve that goal."

There are many services that Nova Scotians can do online, including:

  • renewing licence plates
  • paying for learners and road tests
  • ordering birth, marriage and death certificates
  • renewing business permits
  • paying fines

Access Centres complete more than 1.7 million transactions for 955,000 clients annually.

The landing page that people will see when they first access the free Wifi highlights some of the services that Nova Scotians can do online. It can be viewed at http://novascotia.ca/sns/access/services/wifi.asp.
