Fires Update, Wednesday, Aug. 10, 4 p.m.

Following is a provincial fire update for Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m.
- there have been no significant changes on the wildfires since the 9 a.m. update, although a new fire has started at Round Hill, Annapolis Co. Crews recently arrived at the scene and the fire is being assessed
- the fire at Greenfield, Queens Co., is out
- crews continue to work on the fires and resources are being sent to where they are most needed
- the hot and windy weather, along with low humidity, is creating challenges
- the fire at Seven Mile Lake, Annapolis Co., is still active but being held
- the fire at Clyde River, Shelburne Co., is under control
- the fire at Ten Mile Lake, Queens Co., is being held but is very challenging today
- there has been no change to fires at Perch Lake, Pictou Co., West Dalhousie, Annapolis Co., Maitland Bridge, Annapolis Co., and Collingwood, Cumberland Co.
- as of Aug. 9, travel and activities within the woods are restricted. People can still access beaches and provincial parks, but trail systems are restricted and the fire ban remains in effect
