Crown Attorney Appointed in Special Prosecutions

Sylvia Domaradzki has been appointed a Crown attorney in the Special Prosecutions section of the Public Prosecution Service. Ms. Domaradzki joins a team of Crown attorneys dedicated to Internet child exploitation cases.

Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions, announced the appointment today, June 5.

“I am very pleased to have a Crown attorney of Ms. Domaradzki’s calibre join our team. Her extensive experience in child exploitation cases strengthens our ability to deal effectively with these difficult prosecutions.”

A native of Saskatoon, Ms. Domaradzki graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994 with a bachelor of arts in psychology and in 2002 with a bachelor of law.

She articled with Gold and Associates in Toronto. In 2004 Ms. Domaradzki was appointed a Crown prosecutor in Saskatchewan and in 2006 was appointed a Crown prosecutor in British Columbia.

She has been focused on child exploitation cases for much of her career and in 2015 was appointed head of the child exploitation unit in the Abbottsford, B.C. Crown office. This included the management and supervision of all child pornography and luring offence files.
