Government Office Closures Due to Weather

Some provincial government offices in Nova Scotia are closed today, Jan. 4, due to inclement weather and poor travel conditions. Please check with your local office before proceeding to an appointment.

Access Nova Scotia Centres in Kentville, Middleton, Lawrencetown and Digby are closing at 2:30 p.m.

All other Access Nova Scotia Centres and the government call centre will close at 4:30 p.m.

• Sheet Harbour Registry of Motor Vehicle office, closed
• Shelburne Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, closed
• Bible Hill office of Department of Agriculture, Harlowe and Hancock Buildings at the Dalhousie University Agricultural Campus, closed
• Kentville office of Department of Agriculture, closed
• Department of Environment, Bedford, closed
• Departments of Agriculture and Fisheries and Aquaculture, Cornwallis Park, Annapolis Co., closed
• Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Pictou, closed
• Labour and Advanced Education offices in Kentville, Bridgewater, Yarmouth, Digby, New Glasgow, Antigonish, Truro, and Amherst and in the Thompson Building in Halifax, closed. This office includes student assistance, post-secondary disability services and the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency
• GeoNova, Amherst closing at 2:30 p.m.
• the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, closed
• the Museum of Natural History will be closing at 3 p.m.
• the Nova Scotia Archives will be closing at 2:30 p.m.
