Multi-use Trail Bridge Opens Near Digby

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

Nova Scotians can now safely connect to trails in the Digby area with the completion of a new, multi-use trail bridge in Conway.

The multi-use bridge is part of the Rails to Trails network that provides outdoor enthusiasts a safe connection over Highway 101 to the trails.

"Multi-trail users including cyclists, walkers, and ATV riders are now able to travel over Highway 101," said Gordon Wilson, MLA for Clare-Digby, on behalf of Lloyd Hines, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal. "This will encourage more people to walk, cycle and explore our beautiful trails."

The 105-metre bridge crosses over Highway 101 near Exit 26 and the new section of Highway 101 which is under construction, and is expected to be completed later this year.

The project cost was $2.01 million.
