Budget 2019-20 Consultations Begin

Nova Scotians can help shape Budget 2019-20 and future budgets by sharing their views and comments as part of this year’s pre-budget consultation.

Budget Talks 2019-20 begins today, Nov. 30 and ends Dec. 31.

"I want to hear the thoughts, ideas and priorities of Nova Scotians so that we are well informed as we prepare this upcoming budget and future budgets,” said Karen Casey, Minister of Finance and Treasury Board. “We will continue on a financially sustainable path with investments in programs, services and infrastructure that are important to Nova Scotians."

The fiscal plan forecasts a balanced budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year. It also forecasts balanced budgets for the next three fiscal years.

Nova Scotians can participate in Budget Talks 2019-20 by:

• mailing a submission addressed to Budget Talks 2019-20, Department of Finance and Treasury Board, P.O. Box 187, Halifax, NS, B3J 2N3
• talking with an MLA
• tweeting to @NSFinance
