Chant’s Funeral Home Licence Suspended
The licence for Chant’s Funeral Home in Sydney has been temporarily suspended due to a fire on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The fire caused extensive damage making it unsuitable to operate. It no longer meets the minimum requirements for a funeral home license.
The funeral home is not permitted to offer or provide any merchandise or services to the public during this suspension. The suspension remains in effect until repairs have been made and is suitable once again for use. The new structure and business will be inspected prior to opening.
Service Nova Scotia is responsible for licensing and regulating funeral homes.
