Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

NEW WORK


HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102, between Exit 1A (Highway 103) and Exit 1D (Dunbrack Street), will be closed to all traffic, northbound and southbound for bridge construction from Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. to Sunday, April 14 at 9 a.m.

Outbound lane (northbound) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and the inbound lane (southbound) will be closed from 8 p.m. to 9.am.

Detours will be in place.


LUNBENBURG COUNTY: Bell Island Bridge

Bell Island Bridge, located on LaHave Island Road which connects to Bell Island and Bush Island, will have closures twice a day starting on Monday, April 15 and ending on Thursday, April 18. Closure will take place every day from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The bridge will be open to emergency vehicles but closed to traffic during these times.


CONTINUING WORK


CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Nappan Marsh (Rainbow) Bridge Trunk 2

Nappan Marsh (Rainbow) Bridge over the Nappan River on Trunk 2, outside Amherst, is closed until further notice.

A detour is available on Route 302, Southampton Road and Smith Road. Traffic approaching Amherst is being rerouted a short distance on the Nappan and Lower Porter Roads, while traffic leaving Amherst is required to detour on Smith Road.


INVERNESS COUNTY: Cranton Bridge, Margaree Centre

Cranton Bridge, Margaree Centre, is closed until further notice due to safety concerns. A replacement bridge is expected this year.

A detour is in place via East Big Intervale Road, Crowdis Cross Road and West Big Intervale Road.


RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge

Port Royal Bridge, Port Royal Road on Isle Madame, is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.


YARMOUTH COUNTY: Cape Forchu Bridge, Route 304

Cape Forchu Bridge on Route 304, Yarmouth Bar, is reduced to one lane for repairs until Tuesday, April 30.

Traffic lights and traffic control personnel will be on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
