Minister Ince Participating in Youth Leadership Event in Africa

African Nova Scotian Affairs Minister Tony Ince will be joining a small delegation of youth travelling to Ghana, Africa for the African Youth and Governance Convergence event, Aug. 11 to 18.

It is hosted by the Youth Bridge Foundation and brings together youth of African descent from more than 35 countries to provide leadership training, mentorship opportunities and to discuss issues affecting Africa’s development. The delegates will work to find solutions to overcome difficulties and challenges facing the continent.

“This is truly an experience of a lifetime,” said Mr. Ince. “I am excited to speak at the event and to serve as a youth mentor on critical aspects of leadership, governance and development.”

This year, Ghana is commemorating the 400-year anniversary of the first enslaved Africans arriving in North America.
