Most Provincial Government Offices Open Today, Sept. 9

Provincial government offices with power will be open today, Sept. 9.

As of 10 p.m. last night, some office locations in Sydney, the Spring Garden Road area of Halifax and the Annapolis-Digby-Clare area were without power.

Provincial government employees who are uncertain about circumstances in their office should check in with their manager/supervisor this morning.

Members of the public should call in advance to confirm a particular office is open.

Due to the unique nature of court operations, a specific policy exists for Court Services. Decisions regarding court operations are made on a case-by-case basis. Court Services staff, including Sheriff Services, must check with their supervisors to determine if they must report to work even when other government offices are closed.
