Film Productions Announced

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (Dec. 2004 - Nov. 2022)

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) announced three newly approved productions through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund today, Oct. 1.

Documentary TV series, Hope for Wildlife Season 10, produced by Hope for Wildlife 10 Productions Inc. (Arcadia Entertainment), has been approved for a funding commitment of $520,624 based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $1,626,950.

Documentary TV series, Le Sens Du Punch II, produced by 3313268 Nova Scotia Limited (Connections Productions) has been approved for a funding commitment of $153,609 based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $558,578.

Documentary TV Series, The Alaska Triangle, produced by Ignite TV Inc. (Ocean Entertainment Limited), has been approved for a funding commitment of $267,795 based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $973,800.

Quick facts:

  • the fund applies to eligible costs such as labour, goods or services purchased from a Nova Scotia-based supplier
  • when an application is approved, NSBI issues an incentive agreement which can be used for the financing process
  • when the production is approved for a funding commitment, the funds are placed in reserve
  • when the production is complete the applicant submits a final claim to NSBI for processing and disbursement
  • all applications and claims are processed and approved by NSBI
