Pilot Program for Export Companies

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (Dec. 2004 - Nov. 2022)

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) is launching the Pitch Prep program in support of businesses looking to attract investment for the purpose of growth and increasing export sales, by helping to prepare for an investment.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. is piloting the program which will offset the costs of a consultant or accessing professional services to help companies seeking to grow through outside investment.

The program will fund 75 per cent of eligible projects that will help prepare a company for an investment, to a maximum of $20,000.

“As we know, one of the ways to grow our economy is to increase the level of exports from Nova Scotian companies,” said Business Minister Geoff MacLellan. “Given the importance of exporting to the future of Nova Scotia, the government can support the private sector to be ready to seize opportunities for investment and growth through the creation of programs and services.”

The pilot program will assist up to 10 established, growth-seeking Nova Scotia exporting businesses outside of the start-up phase.
