Winners Selected in Licence of a Lifetime Draw
Two Nova Scotians will not have to worry about purchasing hunting or fishing licences for the rest of their lives.
Malcolm Beaulieu, Framboise, Richmond Co., and James Kennedy, Upper Stewiacke, Colchester Co., were successful in the annual Licence of a Lifetime draw that gives each winner a general fishing licence, small game hunting licence and either a deer hunting, bear hunting, bear snaring or fur harvester licence free of charge, every year.
The names were randomly selected by Minister Iain Rankin and announced by Wilf Woods, secretary, Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters, on Thursday, Dec. 12.
“We have some of the most beautiful woods, streams and lakes in the world, enjoyed by thousands of hunters and anglers each year,” said Mr. Rankin. “The Licence of a Lifetime will allow these two lucky winners to enjoy traditional hunting activities in our woodlands and waterways for years to come.”
The Federation of Anglers and Hunters is grateful for the support offered by the Minister of Lands and Forestry, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the staff of their departments. The funds raised through this lottery are applied to our ongoing work in the areas of wildlife conservation and education.
