Film Productions Announced

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (Dec. 2004 - Nov. 2022)

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) announced three newly approved productions through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund today, Jan. 14.

Comedy TV series, Halifax Comedy Festival 2020, produced by ComedyTV 20 Inc., has been approved for a funding commitment of $170,631 based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $620,476.

Documentary TV series, Jumping the Apex, produced by Jumping the Apex Productions Inc., has been approved for a funding commitment of $27,749 based on an eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $100,905.

Documentary TV series, Champions, produced by Revolution Distribution Inc., has been approved for a funding commitment of $229,856 based on an eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $718,300.

Quick Facts:

  • the fund applies to eligible costs such as labour, goods or services purchased from a Nova Scotia-based supplier
  • when an application is approved, NSBI issues an incentive agreement which can be used for the financing process
  • when the production is approved for a funding commitment, the funds are placed in reserve
  • when the production is complete the applicant submits a final claim to NSBI for processing and disbursement
  • all applications and claims are processed and approved by NSBI
