Televised Committees Meetings to Provide Greater Transparency

Starting today, Jan. 28, all standing committee meetings will be televised, making it easier for Nova Scotians to stay informed about the work the legislature is doing.

The House of Assembly is televising all standing committees, including law amendments.

"Televising our committee meetings is a part of government’s ongoing commitment to transparency and accessibility,” said Speaker of the House Kevin Murphy. “This will allow Nova Scotians to be better informed of the important work of the legislature as it affects us all.”
