New Operator Announced for Yarmouth Contact Centre

A new operator is moving into the contact centre in Hebron Business Park in Yarmouth, formerly run by Web.com Group.

Millennium1 Solutions is beginning to hire staff from the area who worked at the centre and the new company plans more hiring, including bilingual customer service jobs, leadership and support positions. It is offering 100 jobs immediately with potential for more than 300 in the future.

"This great news is a result of the excellent collaboration between the community, companies and development partners,” said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Zach Churchill, on behalf of the Minister of Business Geoff MacLellan. “Most importantly, this is positive for the people and communities in and around Yarmouth to have a new operator expanding its operations in Nova Scotia."

Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) is negotiating a performance-based payroll rebate agreement with Millennium1 Solutions. The company will be eligible for training incentives through the Department of Labour and Advanced Education’s workplace innovation productivity skills incentive.

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is the owner of the property and building. The municipality has signed a lease with the company and the municipality will invest $2 million to improve the site.

Millennium 1 Solutions is a Canadian firm with 40 years of experience providing customer support and services to the financial, loyalty, insurance, government, retail and health sciences sectors.
