Budget 2021-22 Consultations Begin

Nova Scotians are invited to share their ideas for Budget 2021-22 and beyond.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Nova Scotians of all ages, and from all communities and backgrounds, and many are feeling uncertain about the future,” said Finance and Treasury Board Minister Karen Casey. “Our upcoming budget will be shaped by this new reality, taking steps toward economic recovery while continuing to support Nova Scotians.”

The Department of Finance and Treasury Board will begin accepting submissions today, Nov. 25. People are encouraged to submit their budget priorities by mail, email, on Twitter or by speaking with their MLA.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Dec. 31.

  • Nova Scotians can participate in Budget Talks 2021-22 by emailing budget@novascotia.ca, tweeting @NSFinance, mailing a submission to the Department of Finance and Treasury Board, or speaking with their MLA
  • comments are welcome in English and French
