NEW WORK
CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 104, Nova Scotia-New Brunswick Border
The checkpoint site at the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border on Highway 104 will be expanded to allow an additional lane for flow-through traffic. Work is anticipated to begin Monday, Aug. 16, and is expected to take about a week.
Drivers should expect additional delays while the work is underway.
DIGBY COUNTY: Joggins Bridge, Highway 101
Joggins Bridge, between exits 25 and 26, will be reduced to one lane with a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour due to bridge rehabilitation. Work will be ongoing from today, Aug. 13, to Sunday, Oct 31.
Traffic control is in place.
QUEENS COUNTY: Trunk 3
Trunk 3, from the Liverpool town line southerly for 3.5 kilometres, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading from Monday, Aug. 16, until Sunday, Oct. 31.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
CONTINUING WORK
ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Canal Bridge, Antigonish
Canal Bridge, located at the intersection of Main Street, St. Andrew Street and Highway 337 at the east end of Antigonish, is undergoing repairs until Friday, Aug. 27.
The only traffic disruptions will occur overnight. The bridge requires rehabilitation work and will be closed (tentatively) on Sunday, Aug. 15, from 12 to 2 a.m.
CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Mira Gut Bridge, Mira Gut
Construction on Mira Gut Bridge will continue until late fall. Mira Bay Drive, from Brickyard Road to Mira Gut Lane, will be limited to local traffic only.
Access to the beach parking area and washroom facilities will remain open during construction.
COLCHESTER COUNTY: Creamery Bridge, Brookfield
Creamery Bridge on Route 289 is reduced to one lane for repairs until Sunday, Oct. 31.
Wide loads will be detoured via Forest Glen Road and Brentwood Road. Traffic lights are in place.
COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, will be closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.
DIGBY COUNTY: Welsh Bridge, Ashmore
Welsh Bridge on Lewiston Road will be closed for repairs until Monday, Aug. 23.
A detour is in place.
GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344 (Main Street), Mulgrave
Route 344/Main Street traffic is being re-routed onto the newly installed detour bridge.
The entrance to Mill Street from Main Street will remain closed, and drivers should use an alternate route. Signs are in place.
The detour will remain in place until Sunday, Oct. 31.
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Beaver Harbour Road, Beaver Harbour
Beaver Harbour Road, from Trunk 7 southerly for three kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant
Dillmans Bridge on Wyse Road is closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111
Paving at exits 4 and 11 on Highway 111 is expected to be complete Friday, Aug. 20.
Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Detours will be in place periodically.
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Peggys Point Road, Peggy's Cove
Peggys Point Road, from the Visitor Information Centre west for about one kilometre, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Friday, Aug. 20.
Work to take place from sunrise to sunset.
HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The detour has a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour and is expected to be in place until mid-summer.
The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road is expected to be complete and open to traffic by Sunday, Oct. 31.
HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge, on Highway 277, is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.
INVERNESS COUNTY: Captain Gillis Bridge, Harbourview
Trunk 19, between Hawthorne Road and Railway Road, is reduced to one lane due to repairs to Captain Gillis Bridge until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Traffic control is on site. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
INVERNESS COUNTY: Church #1 Truss Bridge, South Side River Denys Branch Road
Church #1 Truss Bridge, on South Side River Denys Branch Road, is closed for repairs until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Detour is in place.
INVERNESS COUNTY: Marble Mountain Road, Marshes (West Bay)
Marble Mountain Road, 550 metres north of Ross Point Road, northerly for four kilometres, is reduced to one lane for road work until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Traffic control is on site. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
KINGS COUNTY: Bear Brook Bridge, Berwick
Bear Brook Bridge on Russia Road is closed for repairs until further notice. Detour is in place.
LUNENBURG COUNTY: Barss Corner Road
Barss Corner Road, from Sarty Road to Newburne Road, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
LUNENBURG COUNTY: Conquerall Mills Road
Conquerall Mills Road, easterly for 0.8 kilometres, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Highway 103, between exits 9 and 10, has alternating lane closures for roadwork until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is reduced to one lane for repairs until further notice.
Detour is in place for vehicles over five tonnes.
LUNENBURG COUNTY: Kraut Point Road
Kraut Point Road, from Lower Lahave Road to end, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
LUNENBURG COUNTY: Masons Beach Road, Masons Beach
Masons Beach Road, from Route 332 to Lunenburg town line, has alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Traffic controls consist of stop-and-go traffic. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
LUNENBURG COUNTY: Upper Branch Road
Upper Branch Road, 5.6 kilometres north of Seamone Road to Route 208, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Wentzell Road Bridge, Petite Riviere
Wentzell Road Bridge on Wentzell Road is closed for repairs today, Aug. 13, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Detour in place. The bridge will be open tonight.
PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Eastbound Lanes
Highway 104 eastbound between exits 20 and 21 is reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PICTOU COUNTY: Trenton Connector, Trenton
A new roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of Trenton Connector and Granton-Abercrombie Road, and the connector will be repaved between that intersection and Highway 106. Work is scheduled until Sunday, Oct. 31.
Traffic control and four-way stop on site. Work takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PICTOU COUNTY: Trunk 4, Mount Thom
Trunk 4, 700 metres west of Mount Thom Road, easterly for about eight kilometres, is reduced to one lane for patching and paving until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Traffic control is in place.
QUEENS COUNTY: Beech Hill Road
Beech Hill Road, from Trunk 3 to end, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Thursday, Sept. 30.

QUEENS COUNTY: Medway River Road
Medway River Road, from Bangs Falls Road to end, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Rosette Road, from Old Westfield Road to end, has stop-and-go traffic and alternating lane closures for repaving and upgrading until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Church Point Road, from Trunk 4 southerly for 1.7 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Thursday, Sept. 30.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

West Bay Road, 3.7 kilometres east of MacKay Drive easterly for five kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for roadwork until Thursday, Sept. 30.

YARMOUTH COUNTY: Small Gains Road, Brooklyn
Small Gains Road, from the intersection with Greenville Road to the intersection with Mill Road, will be closed through Friday, Aug. 20, for the replacement of Churchill Mills Bridge.
Detour is in place.
YARMOUTH COUNTY: Main Shore Road, Sandford
Main Shore Road, from Darling Lake Road to Pembroke Road, has alternating lane closures for roadwork until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
