The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been advised by Chief Judge Jean-Louis Batiot that an inquiry into the death of Adam Baird Comeau will proceed. Mr. Comeau, 36, died on Jan. 5, 2000.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has advised the death of Adam Baird Comeau, 36, which occurred on Jan. 5, was the result of acute blood loss/aspiration of blood and blood clots due to laceration of the mouth/lower jaw with deep soft tissue/bony injury.

Swissair Identification -- Status Report

Dr. John Butt, Nova Scotia's chief medical examiner, today advised the families of victims of Swissair Flight 111 that the recovery of human remains is essentially complete.

One Body From Swissair Crash Identified

Family members have been able to identify one body recovered from Swissair Flight 111. The first positive identification of a French national was made overnight at the chapel on Canadian Forces Base Shearwater.
