One kilometer of shoreline on Salmon River where Atlantic salmon spawn

Forestry Values

Primarily mature hardwood, small softwood component

A few small clearcuts along southern boundary completed in 2007

Most of area currently unavailable for forestry due to DNR old forest policy

Steep slopes limit forestry potential on a small portion of this area

High mineral potential

Part of the area is licensed for mineral exploration

Low petroleum potential

Medium wind potential
