Mixed forest of spruce/fir and older tolerant hardwood

Remnant White Pine and Eastern Hemlock

Karst features include sinkholes, ponds and gypsum exposures

Provides some representation of Central Cape Breton Hills natural landscape

Within American Marten Habitat Management Area

Large portion of area comprised of mature softwood and mixedwood

Some small clearcuts off Glen Tosh Road in early 1990s, older and larger cutovers closer to TransCanada Highway
