Barra Forest Provincial Park

Overview

Relatively large property with important conservation values and some frontage on Bras d’Or Lake

Protection Values

A portion of this property was identified by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment as forming part of Patch # 546 that could contribute to the Province’s goal of protecting 12% of the land base by 2015.  Lands were donated through the Nature Conservancy of Canada to be retained in a natural state for passive recreational purposes.
