Important coastal property with significant conservation values. Proposed expansion of park boundary will enhance the park’s protection and recreation values.
Protected Beach; one species of bird found at the park is listed as critically imperiled; the park property has been identified by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment as a portion of lands (Patch # 272) that could contribute to the Province goal of protecting 12% of the land base by 2015.
