Overview

Beach property on Round Bay which, in conjunction with adjoining Crown and Nature Conservancy of Canada lands, has important conservation values.

Protection Values

One species of bird found in the park is listed as critically imperiled, two as imperiled and four as vulnerable to extirpation or extinction.  Identified by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment as lands (Patch# 348) that could contribute to the Province’s goal of protecting 12% of the land base by 2015.  Adjacent to Nature Conservancy of Canada lands.  1 kilometre sand beach and dunes.  Two beaches separated by tidal channel.  Other (Roseway Beach) is Crown.
