A very popular beach park on the Atlantic Ocean

Two species of birds found within the park have been identified as being critically imperiled and two other species of bird and one invertebrate as being vulnerable to extirpation or extinction

Other Site Considerations

Susceptible to coastal processes (storm events with high tide surge or wind driven waves) that cause site erosion.

Section of abandoned rail corridor bisects park land, only available for non-motorized use.
