Blueberry Pollination Expansion

The Blueberry Pollination Expansion Program aims to increase the number of honeybee hives available for blueberry pollination in the province by assisting registered Nova Scotia beekeepers with expanding their operations.

Eligibility

A farm that:

  • Has a current Farm Registration
  • Is at least 19 years of age
  • Reports farming income & expenses that shows bee-related gross commodity income of at least $30,000
  • Has a current registration under the Bee Industry Act
  • Is a member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Beekeepers Association

Stream 1 & 2:
Program Opening: April 1, 2021
Application Deadline: September 1, 2021
Claim Deadline: December 31, 2021

Stream 3:
Program Opening: April 1, 2021
Application Deadline: September 1, 2021
Claim Deadline: March 1, 2022

How to Apply

Complete and submit the Application Form to the Programs & Business Risk Management office.

Clients new to programs since 2018 must complete the Program Funding Registration (PFR) Form. Returning clients are to update their PFR Form as necessary.
