Commingling Site Traceability Program 2017-2018
The Commingling Site Traceability Program is targeted to support high-risk, high-throughput commingling sites where different species and/or animals from different herds or flocks commingle.
The objectives of this program are to assist commingling sites in the upgrading or addition of equipment and software to enhance traceability capabilities in reading and recording identification tag information.
Eligible facilities include:
- live animal auction facilities
- animal assembly yards
- community pastures
- feedlots and backgrounders
- fairs and exhibitions
- Program Opening: May 1, 2017
- Program Closing: November 2, 2017
- Claim deadline: March 1, 2018
