Soil and Water Sustainability Program 2019-2020

The Soil and Water Sustainability program was developed to assist Nova Scotia farms in mitigating on-farm environmental risks. In providing assistance for environmental protection projects, this program will recognize the important role the industry plays for healthy soil and water.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants consist of Nova Scotia farms that are accurately registered under the Farm Registration Act with minimum gross sales of $30,000. For more details on eligibility see the program guidelines.

Deadline or important dates

Spring intake open: February 1, 2019
Spring intake deadline: March 15, 2019
Spring claim deadline: August 31, 2019

Fall intake open: July 1, 2019
Fall intake deadline: August 1, 2019
Fall claim deadline: February 1, 2020

How to Apply

To apply, please complete the Soil and Water Sustainability program application form and submit to the Programs office.

Clients new to programs since 2019 must complete the Program Funding Registration (PFR) form. Returning clients to update PFR form as necessary.
