Grow Where You’re Planted Event Registration
Grow Where You’re Planted (GWYP) stemmed from new goals set by the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, Education and Early Childhood Development and Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Agriculture. The goals were to create exploration programs and events for students to explore careers in agriculture and agri-food.
The 3 partner groups came together to plan an event hosted on Dalhousie's Agricultural Campus. The agricultural exploration program is for students in grade 10 and 11 who identify as African Nova Scotia or African Canadian. GWYP is a two-day event hosted on the Truro Campus in May 2024. Students are brought together from across the province to gain new knowledge about the agriculture and agri-food industry through presentations, hands-on activities and interactive games.
