Respectful Workplace Training Courses (Mandatory)

Respectful Wrokplace

The Respectful Workplace Policy promotes awareness for employees and creates understanding as to what is considered offensive behaviour in the workplace.

Respectful Workplace Training consists of four courses:

  1. Respectful Workplace for Employees (RWE)
  2. Respectful Workplace for Managers (RWM)
  3. Respectful Workplace for Human Resource Professionals (RWHR)
  4. Respectful Workplace Awareness Sessions (RWA)

Respectful Workplace for Employees

The Respectful Workplace for Employees training course is mandatory for all employees, including managers and human resource professionals.

Topics Include:
  • Understanding Offensive Behaviour
  • Responding to Offensive Behaviour
  • Addressing Offensive Behaviour With the Individual Responsible for It
Available Formats
  • E-Learning Module (Completed individually)
  • Classroom Module

Respectful Workplace for Managers

The Respectful Workplace for Managers training course is mandatory for all managers and human resource professionals.

Topics Include:
  • Providing a Respectful Workplace, The Manager’s Accountability
  • Receiving an Informal Complaint, The Manager’s Role
  • Dealing With an Informal Complaint, The Manager’s Procedure
  • Determining Who Should Handle a Complaint, The Manager’s Role
Available Formats

  • Classroom Module

Respectful Workplace for Human Resource Professionals

The Respectful Workplace for Human Resource Professionals training course is mandatory for all human resource professionals.

  • The Respectful Workplace Policy
  • Complaint Procedures
  • Foundation of HR Professional Role in Relation to the Respectful Workplace Policy
  • Informal Complaint Procedures
  • Informal Investigations
  • Advice and Support for Managers
  • Performance Management

Respectful Workplace Awareness Sessions

Awareness Sessions are intended for groups of employees, in appropriate circumstances, with an identified need for enhanced awareness. Awareness Sessions may be conducted in addition to the completion of mandatory Respectful Workplace training courses.

Respectful Workplace Awareness sessions may provide further detail on topics covered in the mandatory training courses. Awareness sessions may also be tailored to meet the needs of a particular group. Topic areas include but are not limited to:

  • Bullying
  • Complaint Procedures
  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Performance Management
  • Sexual Harassment

Awareness Sessions are available by request to the Manager, Respectful Workplace & Corporate Diversity, who will appoint a qualified facilitator to deliver the session.
