The Lobbyists' Registration Act requires the registration of anyone who is paid to lobby public servants. Lobbyists who are consultants or employees of a person, partnership or company must register themselves. In an organization, it is the duty of the senior officer to register employees involved in lobbying. Generally speaking, an organization can be distinguished from other entities subject to the Act because it is a non-profit or non-commercial operation.
