Ticket Lottery Permit (Under $4000)

Who Needs This Permit?

Any charitable or religious organization wanting to conduct a lottery draw for prizes valued under $4000.

Please note
That there are two Ticket Lottery Permits, one for under $4000 and one for over $4000. Please make sure that you have selected the correct permit.

Application Forms & Process:
1)  If you wish to apply using an application form, phone, visit, write or e-mail one of the contact sources listed above.  The appropriate application kit will be supplied by mail, or may be picked up by the applicant.

Please note:  These forms are in Portable Document Format (PDF), which requires the FREE Adobe® Acrobat® Reader. If you do not have the Reader, you can download the program FREE of charge.
2)  If you are not applying online, the completed application form can be mailed, faxed or brought to the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division office (see addresses above).

3)  If the application is approved, the Division will mail an official lottery licence to the applicant displaying a lottery number.

The completed application is reviewed by licensing staff and if the criteria is met, the application is approved. The applicant is mailed a permit certificate bearing a lottery license number which must be displayed on their printed tickets.
Waiting Period:

All applications received by any method
10 business days providing the application is complete. (Please allow several extra days for mail delivery.) Approved licenses can be provided by electronic mail if requested.

However, if the applicant has submitted a complete application and requires a Permit number sooner, they may inquire and if the application has been received and number assigned, it is provided at that time.  (See Additional Information below.)

Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received

Expiry :
This permit is valid for 1 day to a maximum of 1 year; the number of days is specified on the application. It is not renewable.

Additional Information:
The permit number that is issued is only valid for the lottery fundraising program for which it has been assigned, and is in force only for the period stipulated on the permit.
