Waiting Period: |

Initial Application: 15-20 business days from date application is received at Service Nova Scotia provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received. Annual Renewals: up to 15 business days from date renewal application is received at Service Nova Scotia provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received. If an application is incomplete or unsuccessful, the applicant will be contacted directly by Service Nova Scotia’s Business Registration Unit (BRU) to explain what information or credentials are missing. If the applicant is still unsatisfied after this review and wishes to appeal the decision, the file will be escalated to the system administrator at huntns@novascotia.ca, who will follow up directly. The current review timeline is approximately 10–15 business days from the date the system administrator receives the request. |

A Guide Licence is valid for one year (1 April to 31 March of following year). |

Price: |
|
|
$12.48 + HST Fee can be paid by credit card, cheque or money order, made payable to the Minister of Finance. The licence fee is subject to change, without notice, after 31 March each year. |

Persons applying for a Guide Licence must possess a valid Nova Scotia Wildlife Resources Card (WRC) with a Guide Certification appropriate to the licence being requested (GF, GH, GQ, GT or GM). Information on how to obtain a WRC is available online at Hunt NS or by contacting the Business Registration Unit at 1-833-302-0750. |

It is the responsibility of all licenced Registered Guides to ensure that you hold current and valid Emergency First Aid and Basic CPR certifications while engaged in guiding activities. Please ensure that the contact information associated with your Wildlife Resources Card is current and accurate. If any corrections are required, update online at Hunt NS or by contacting the Business Registration Unit at 1-833-302-0750. |
