Application Forms & Process:

You can get an application form by:

1)  Downloading a form from our website; or
2)  Calling one of the phone numbers listed above.

The Department will go through an approval process in keeping with the Driver Training School Regulations.  This will include checking the school’s curriculum, the school’s facilities, the school’s vehicles, the school’s insurance, criminal record check, etc.

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the licence will be mailed to the applicant. 

Renewing Online:
Renewals can be completed online through Access to Business. To complete the renewal online, you must be able to pay by Visa, MasterCard or American Express Credit Card. We cannot accept any form of Debit cards at this time.

Waiting Period:
10 business days
Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
(Please allow several extra days for mail delivery.)
Expiry & Renewal:
This licence is valid until December 31 of the calendar year in which it is issued.  It is renewable; the Department will send out a renewal notice  before it expires.
Price: (No tax is charged)

Initial Application:  $132.60

Annual Renewal:  $66.30

Payment by mail:   Please pay by cheque or money order made out to the Minister of Finance.
