Your Driver's Licence will expire on your birthday. At any point during the last 6 months before it expires, you can renew your Driver's Licence.

You have to come to the office in person to renew your licence, because a new photo must be taken for the licence.

You can pick up the application form which you need at the service counter or bring in your renewal notice that was mailed to you.

When renewing your driver's licence you must notify the Registry of Motor Vehicles of
1. any changes in your physical or mental condition that might limit or alter your ability to operate a vehicle, and
2. revocation or suspension of your licence.

Your driving privileges may not be renewed if you fail to provide this information.

*Applicable to a Class 7 licence issued after April 1, 2015.  All Class 7 licences issued before April 1, 2015, have a 1 year expiry.
