| Who Needs This Permit? | ||
| Anyone who wants to bring any live wildlife, either native or "exotic"
(that is, not native to Nova Scotia) into Nova Scotia.
Note: Species which are listed as "not dangerous" to the Nova Scotia eco-system are exempt. See Additional Information, below. |

| Application must be made in writing to the Wildlife Division of the
N.S. Department of Natural Resources in Kentville, N.S. If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit will be sent to the applicant by mail. |

| This permit is valid for 1 month from the date it is issued. It is not renewable. | ||

| Import Permits are not required for species which have been listed as not dangerous to the Nova Scotia ecosystem (a list of these exempted species is available from the Wildlife Division). | ||
