- On April 14, 1912, Walter Gray, J.C.R. Godwin and Robert Hunston were on duty at the Marconi Company wireless station at Cape Race, Newfoundland, about 400 nautical miles from the site where RMS Titanic sank.
- Mr. Godwin first received the vessel's distress signal and as wireless traffic exploded, Mr. Hunston tracked the unfolding tragedy with this summarized record of wireless messages.
