Marine Debris Clean-up Program
The Marine Debris Clean-up Program provides funding to help remove debris from Nova Scotia's marine and freshwater shorelines. The program has 3 funding streams:
- Shoreline Clean-up – supports clean-up efforts of marine and freshwater coastlines
- Marine Debris and Litter Prevention – supports methods of reducing litter from reaching our water systems
- Marine Debris and Litter Recycling – supports waste diversion solutions that encourage recycling over sending debris to landfill
Eligibility
Individuals and organizations can apply for funding. Collaboration between the seafood sector and community groups is encouraged.

Deadline or important dates
Application deadline: 1 February 2024.
How to apply
Complete the Program Application Form (make sure to check the application for details on all required supporting documents). Send your completed application and supporting documents by email or mail.
