Harpers Lake Nature Reserve, in Shelburne County, features rare coastal plain flora that grow along the edges of three remote lakes in southwestern Nova Scotia: Harpers Lake, Western Lake, and Gold Lake. The reserve consists of six separate parcels, two on each lake, and includes adjacent upland forest in each parcel to help protect the lakeshores.
