Wine and Grape Industry Development Program

The Wine and Grape Industry Development Program supports the environmental, economic and social sustainability of Nova Scotia's wine industry. The program provides grape growers and wineries support to prepare for climate change and improve production processes.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a farm or Mi'kmaq conducting farming activities in a Mi'kmaw community.
For farms, you need to:

  • be registered with grape commodity income on your farm registration and a contract for sale of grapes to a Nova Scotia certified farm winery
  • be a certified farm winery or small farm winery
  • be at least 19 years old and actively farming in the program year

Deadline or important dates

Program opening: 2 February 2024
Application deadline: 15 March 2024
Claim deadline: 28 March 2024
