Beach Meadows Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 15th day of November, A. D., 1984, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high water mark of Beach Meadows Beach, in the County of Queens, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-15-5 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Beach Meadows Beach, situate near Beach Meadows, in the County of Queens, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on Field Plot No. P-139/84 (C.L.R. No. E-15-5) filed at the Department of Lands and Forests Office, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a copy of which is attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Survey Marker No. Q2705 situate near the mean high watermark of Beach Meadows Brook at the northeastern end of Beach Meadows Beach and situate (by grid bearings referred to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, zone 5, central meridian 64° 30' west longitude) S 04° 50' 30" E, 1407.92 feet from Nova Scotia Co-ordinate Monument No. 21108, having co-ordinate values of 16 012 177.84 feet in northings and 18 008 451.74 feet in eastings;
Thence (from the place of beginning) N 04° 50' 30" W, 10 feet more or less, to the mean high watermark of Beach Meadows Brook;
Thence in an easterly, then southwesterly direction following the various courses of the mean high watermark of Beach Meadows Brook and Beach Meadows Beach, 4800 feet, more or less, to a point;
Thence N 57° 39' 29" W, 216 feet, more or less, to Survey Marker No. Q2711;
Thence N 21° 22' 56" E, 675.29 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2710;
Thence N 21° 22' 56" E, 419.54 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2709;
Thence N 21° 22' 56" E, 996.32 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2708;
Thence N 27° 53' 14" E, 688.96 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2707;
Thence N 41° 29' 33" E, 512.87 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2706;
Thence N 40° 14' 00" W, 79.39 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2705, being the place of beginning.
