Carters Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 26th day of March, A.D., 1984, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Carters Beach, in the County of Queens, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-48 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
All that certain area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Carters and Wobamkek Beaches situate near Southwest Port Mouton, in the County of Queens, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on Plan No. C.L.R. E-13-48 filed in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a copy of which is attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Rock Post No. G2577 situate at or near the mean high watermark at the southeast end of Wobamkek Beach, and situate (by grid bearings referred to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, zone 5, central meridian 64° 30' West longitude) N 81° 26' 00" W, a distance of 606.98 feet from Nova Scotia Co-Ordinate Monument No. 24750 having co-ordinate values (Northing 15 953 901.44 feet Easting 17 963 364.39 feet);
From thence S 00° 44' 53" W, 408.06 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2578;
Thence N 49° 43' 45" W, a distance of 855.69 feet to Rock Post No. Q2579;
Thence S 85° 13' 54" W, a distance of 1421.98 feet to Rock Post No. Q2580;
Thence S 73° 48' 17" W, a distance of 835.82 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2581;
Thence N 16° 27' 57" W, a distance of 1279.55 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2582;
Thence N 51° 24' 21" W, a distance of 765.80 feet to Survey Marker No. Q2583;
Thence N 22° 17' 18" E, a distance of 231.95 feet to Rock Post No. Q2584 situate at or near the mean high watermark at the northwest end of Carters Beach, said point being N 65° 27' 13" W, a distance of 4123.86 feet from the place of beginning;
Thence southeasterly along the mean high watermark of Carters Beach and crossing Carters River and along the mean high water mark of Wabamkek Beach 4600 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning.
Containing 65 acres more or less.
