Lower L’Ardoise Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32
O.I.C. 81-547 (April 28, 1981), N.S. Reg. 58/81
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 9th day of April, A.D., 1981, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark at Lower L’Ardoise Beach, Lower L’Ardoise, in the County of Richmond, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-18, marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Lower L’Ardoise Beach, situate, lying and being at Lower L’Ardoise, in the County of Richmond, Province of Nova Scotia, and shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-18 attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Crown Land Survey marker R 4125 placed on the mean high watermark of Lower L’Ardoise Beach, said survey marker being S 88° 49' 35" W, a distance of 2897.64' feet from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument 2534, the said monument having coordinate values E 1 194 163.79' N 16 571 882.97';
From thence southerly along the mean high watermark of Lower L’Ardoise Beach 3600 feet more or less to Crown Land Survey marker R 4135 situate S 33° 32' 30" E, a distance of 3311.52 feet from the place of beginning;
Thence N 61° 34' 49" E, a distance of 161.11 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4134;
Thence N 00° 38' 33" W, a distance of 474.48 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4133;
Thence N 24° 34' 18" W, a distance of 653.50 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4132;
Thence N 23° 04' 21" W, a distance of 292.30 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4131;
Thence N 21° 21' 40" W, a distance of 68.07 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4130;
Thence N 41° 09' 03' W, a distance of 519.96 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4129;
Thence N 29° 05' 14" W, a distance of 202.62 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4128;
Thence N 25° 52' 02" W, a distance of 247.83 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4127;
Thence N 48° 31' 55" W, following the mean high waterline of Barrette’s Pond a distance of 689.27 feet to Crown Land Survey marker R4126;
Thence N 85° 59' 50" W, a distance of 490.95 feet to the place of beginning.
All bearings and distances are grid and were derived from the Nova Scotia Coordinate System based on a 3° Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central meridian 61° 30' W longitude. Conversion factor .99998, values 1972 adjustment.
