Malcolm Cove Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 21st day of October, A.D., 1981, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Malcolm Cove Beach, in the County of Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-22 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Malcolm Cove Beach, situate near Morrison, in the County of Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on Plan No. E-13-22 filed in the Department of Lands and Forests office, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a copy of which is attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at survey marker No. 1, situate on the mean high watermark of Malcolm Cove Beach and situate (by grid azimuths referred to the 3° transverse mercator projection, zone 4, central meridian 61° 30' west longitude) 165° 28' 10", a distance of 2 960.599 metres from Nova Scotia coordinate monument No. 2844 having coordinate values (northing 5 069 936.065 metres, easting 4 528 169.454 metres);
Thence from the place of beginning 226° 43' 11", a distance of 15.715 metres to survey marker No. 2;
Thence 323° 46' 32", a distance of 113.859 metres to survey marker No. 3;
Thence 33° 27' 45", a distance of 66.691 metres to survey marker No. 4, situate on the mean high watermark of Malcolm Cove Beach and situate 342° 56' 26", a distance of 143.006 metres from survey marker No. 1;
Thence southeasterly along the mean high watermark of Malcolm Cove Beach, 148 metres more or less to the place of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains 0.319 hectares, more or less.
